HELLO!
I am Coley; curious, dynamic, and constantly creating in Tkaronto, Canada. I have been making and performing for most of my life, playing with different methods and materials and always pursuing the joy of expression.

I moved to the big city to study studio art at the University of Toronto and spent almost a decade after making, practicing, teaching, and facilitating in a variety of mediums. In 2021 I discovered my affinity for working with glass as my primary medium and haven't looked back.

STATEMENT OF PRACTICE
My multidisciplinary work is largely process-oriented. I examine duality, place and landscape, personal idiosyncrasies, and life on the periphery. Through glass I have discovered my peak physical and emotional affinity with a material. Channelling this affinity, I make sculptures and installations blending fusing, hot casting, and glassblowing with other media.
As I develop my glass craft, I am greatly informed by my ongoing art practices. My experience with collage, drawing, performance, and time-based media regularly influence the outcome of my work. I take an experimental approach. Through this experimentation I combine diverse glass disciplines with established techniques, themes, and imagery to create a body of work rooted in play, movement, and experience.
